To act as a liaison with Suppliers, Develop Marketing plans to maximize consumer demands for the Division’s product lines and efficiently manage sub-departments of the organization or teams, whilst continuously looking for new business opportunities for the Division. The incumbent also manages the overall activities of various Naughty Grape Retail Store locations.
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Develops partnership relationships in the designated market(s) to increase focus and support for the assigned portfolio of brands whilst increasing distribution, volume, and brand visibility.
- Builds and maintains a high level of strategic alignment with Senior Management to align the Supplier/Principal objectives.
- Develops strategic portfolio analysis to drive portfolio growth
- Implements key strategies associated with Marketing and Customer Marketing via deep consumer/customer/shopper understanding
- Supports development and execution of Brand standards and guidelines for Channels and Customers.
- Executes commercial propositions for all innovation projects.
- Works with Principals in the development of marketing plans, as well as budgets for depletions and A&P spend in line with Company objectives.
- Oversees overall pricing and costing towards adjusting price adjustments as necessary to meet profitability, volume and market share objectives.
- Ensures forecasts are updated monthly; orders placed and acknowledged to hold optimum inventory levels
- Manages stock to optimize inventory turns and liquidate SLOBs
- Provides leadership and oversight of all functions of the Naughty Grape Retail Store (duty-free and non-duty free locations).
- Guides Events & Promotions team in negotiations with Event Promoters to ensure adherence to brand strategies.
- Develops prime relationships with Key Accounts to ensure efficient and effective service.
- Monitors trends of Department’s products and keeps Sales, Brand Management and Promotions teams fully informed of objectives, progress and future plans.
- Ensures that claims for suppliers’ share of the expenses are sent to Principals as required and that they are settled in a timely manner.
- Works with Research and Advertising Agencies as required, to monitor Brand Performance or Advertising efficacy. Evaluates results to determine brand health and make recommendations going forward.
- Works with Marketing and Sales teams to develop and implement Perfect Store executions and drive portfolio distribution plans
Knowledge & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
- A minimum of five (5) years of brand management experience in an FMCG environment with at least three (3) years at a senior managerial level; sales and supply chain exposure will be an asset
- Experience in managing multi-million dollar sales and A&P budgets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
