INVENTORY SUPERVISOR (2 YEAR CONTRACT)

Ensures the execution of the Inventory Plan by monitoring completeness, accuracy and compliance during the inventory transactions in the warehouses, and by effective supervision of assigned resources to deliver daily objectives.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Monitors the inventory plan daily and assigns required activities (bin integrity, investigative work, physical counts, and preparation for quarterly stock counts) to inventory personnel for completion by set deadlines times.
  • Ensures all inventory movements (both physical and on the system) are performed in accordance to standard inventory policies and procedures.
  • Investigates variances from quarterly stock counts with use of the S2K system, physical documentation, and reports findings to the Manager Warehouse Operations with recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Executes Pick Policy and generates Replenishment Report for planning daily replenishment activity for maximum picking productivity.
  • Reviews daily with the Manager Warehouse Operations, space requirement plans for inbound products and promotional items.
  • Supervises personnel on the implementation of the space requirement plan, ensuring proper physical and system movements of stock are made.
  • Reviews related inventory reports (rotation accuracy, on-hand inventory, close to expiry, [enter all reports]), identifies gaps and works with Manager Warehouse Operations on corrective actions.
  • Monitors daily the status of virtual bins (returned, damaged, S bins) ensuring alignment with physical movements, documentation and system processing within set timeframes.
  • Ensures damaged and short expired goods are removed from the pick bins and stock adjustment form completed on a timely basis/in accordance with set timelines.
  • Investigates back-ordered items which occurred during the picking, verification process, find root causes and take corrective action.
  • Reviews all completed inventory adjustment forms for accuracy, completeness and passes to Manager of Warehouse Operations for signature, and submits for system update.
  • Co-ordinates activities for the preparation of, and participates in quarterly stock counts, participates in the reconciliation and post analysis activities.
  • Maintains accurate, timely records of all inventory related stock movements (relabeling, repacking and fumigation), ensures written authorizations are granted and documents are passed for processing to other departments on a timely basis.
  • Upholds the Company’s HSE policies and practices, immediately reporting all unsafe conditions as well as any incidents or accidents via an incident/accident form.
  • Monitors staff attendance and performance for maximum productivity and enacts disciplinary procedures when required.
  • Participates in improvement, safety and housekeeping initiatives
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Inventory Management Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in warehouse organization, layout, and inventory control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiar with Warehouse Management Software or SAP
  • Forklift License
