We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Hardware & Housewares Division.
This role is focused on working closely with the Sales team to ensure optimum Distribution, Visibility, Price, Placement, Promotion and Forecasting of the assigned Hardware brands and to enhance the Company’s image as a preferred supplier in the Industry.
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Formulates and implements annual marketing plans for assigned Hardware brands.
- Formulates and manages the annual A&P budgets in collaboration with Supplier
- Verifies costings and ensures price levels are accurate
- Provides monthly forecasts for all assigned Hardware brands as required.
- Assists with A&P claims from Suppliers as required.
- Assists with developing and training of sales staff.
- Monitors all competitive activity on the trade and develops the appropriate tactical initiatives to counter them.
- Ensures brands are adequately represented through quality merchandising, pricing and securing prime placement at the point of retail.
- Achieves monthly sales and gross profit targets in keeping with Departmental objectives.
- Ensure Displays and POS material are positioned in key areas with trade partners.
- Keeps track and manages POP material and Display units assigned to Hardware Stores as well as stock at the Office/Warehouse.
- Monitors SLOBS at Distribution Centre on a monthly basis and implements measures to reduce stock levels.
- Works closely with the Supply Chain planners to ensure timely and accurate execution of orders for assigned brands.
- Participates in periodic stock counts at Distribution Centre.
- Participates in the Division’s Bi-Annual Tent Sale.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline
- A minimum of one (1) year related experience in a FMCG company
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
