We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Information Technology Department.

This role is focused on supporting all users on the Brydens network and identifying and discussing on-going issues outside of normal operations, analysing and making recommendations for improvement across the Brydens network of data/voice systems, while maintaining standards of performance as outlined by the Head of Information Technology.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Provide support to the Head of Information Technology by supervising the execution of projects
  • Prioritize requests based on impact on the business
  • Maintain activity logs and asset registers
  • Provide support to over 400 users on all hardware related issues
  • Provide support to users on basic software related issues, such as Windows and Linux systems, Office suite, Anti-virus and IBM AS400 Client Access
  • Troubleshooting PC, cabling and connectivity issues
  • Provide information technology support for testing and repairing systems
  • Basic changing of devices and parts
  • Using standard networking tools
  • Performs other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
  • VAI End of Month and End of Year processing
  • IP phone handset and system support
  • S2K WMS RF handhelds and access points maintenance/support
  • S2K Mobile tablets maintenance/support
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Post-Secondary qualification in Information Technology e.g. Network+, Server+ and Linux+ certifications, MCSE certification
  • Knowledge of Microsoft back office applications including Microsoft Exchange
  • Knowledge of the AS400 system would be an asset
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a similar position
