We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Information Technology Department.
This role is focused on supporting all users on the Brydens network and identifying and discussing on-going issues outside of normal operations, analysing and making recommendations for improvement across the Brydens network of data/voice systems, while maintaining standards of performance as outlined by the Head of Information Technology.
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Provide support to the Head of Information Technology by supervising the execution of projects
- Prioritize requests based on impact on the business
- Maintain activity logs and asset registers
- Provide support to over 400 users on all hardware related issues
- Provide support to users on basic software related issues, such as Windows and Linux systems, Office suite, Anti-virus and IBM AS400 Client Access
- Troubleshooting PC, cabling and connectivity issues
- Provide information technology support for testing and repairing systems
- Basic changing of devices and parts
- Using standard networking tools
- Performs other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
- VAI End of Month and End of Year processing
- IP phone handset and system support
- S2K WMS RF handhelds and access points maintenance/support
- S2K Mobile tablets maintenance/support
Knowledge & Experience:
- Post-Secondary qualification in Information Technology e.g. Network+, Server+ and Linux+ certifications, MCSE certification
- Knowledge of Microsoft back office applications including Microsoft Exchange
- Knowledge of the AS400 system would be an asset
- A minimum of three (3) years in a similar position
