NETWORK SPECIALIST

We are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate for the following position in the Information Technology Department.

This role will be responsible for implementing and supporting servers and network services for the Brydens Group, identifying and resolving on-going issues outside of normal operations; providing assistance/support to Network & Infrastructure Manager whilst maintaining standards of performance as outlined by the Group IT Manager.

Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Provides Group infrastructure support in LAN/WAN
  • Supports and maintains backup and recovery procedures for the Group
  • Provides support and maintenance for the Group Firewall policies
  • Provides support and maintenance for the Group Antivirus policies
  • Provides Group Windows update services and polices
  • Provides Group Wi-Fi support and troubleshooting
  • Provides Group OS Unattended maintenance
  • Provides Group S2K RF handhelds and access points maintenance/support
  • Supports AS400 Disaster Recovery
  • Provides IP phone handset and system support for the Group
  • Supports and maintains S2K Mobile tablets for the Group
  • Troubleshoots PC, cabling and connectivity issues
  • Provides information technology support for testing and repairing systems, using standard networking tools
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Post-Secondary qualification in Information Technology e.g. MCSE certification
  • A minimum of five (5) years in a similar position
  • Or relevant combination of training and experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Back Office Administration (Servers - physical/virtual environment)
  • Knowledge of Voice IP connectivity and administration
  • Knowledge of connectivity and routing configurations for WAN, LAN and Wireless Networks
  • Knowledge of e-mail server administration/software and associated security maintenance
