This role is focused on continuously maintaining system integrity through accurate records and inventory status of products.
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Executes and updates all inventory transfer requests and stock adjustments on a daily basis as required
- Provides administrative support for all inventory counts at WMS locations
- Updates all Non-WMS location inventory count sheets into VAI and provide variance reports to the Warehouse for further investigations
- Corrects and reconciles all inventory discrepancies when appropriate investigations have been completed by the Inventory Auditors (Warehouse)
- Prepares monthly reports for Senior Management
- Investigates and addresses queries from all internal Divisions and Retail Outlets, providing research, follow-up, and recommendations
- Authorizes Purchase Orders to be updated after ensuring that information entered on the physical costing sheets are accurate
- Advises and approves the creation of new item numbers
- Maintains an efficient filing system to allow for easy retrieval and processing
- Liaises with the warehouse to ensure that receiver reports are received on a timely basis and before the month end close off
- Monitors outstanding warehouse transfers and stock adjustments following up for any outstanding documents
- Reviews all product costings to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Participates and provides support for all inventory counts at WMS and Non-WMS locations as required
- Checks the aged open payables report on a weekly basis to ensure that all outstanding invoices/credit notes are current and on the forex listing for payment as required
Knowledge & Experience:
- Completion of CAT or Level I ACCA Qualification, and currently pursuing Level II ACCA
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of an Accounting software package would be an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
